Women’s World Cup 2023: Zambia beat Costa Rica 3-1 Group C

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup match between Costa Rica and Zambia took place at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, New Zealand on Monday. Both teams were knocked out of advancing to the Round of 16 after going a combined 15–0 in their matches against Women’s World Cup Group C leaders Japan and Spain. Zambia beat Costa Rica 3–1.

Lushomo Mweemba of Zambia took a 1-0 lead against Costa Rica in the 3rd minute.

  Zambia’s Barbra Banda scored in the 31st minute to give Costa Rica a 2-0 lead.

Costa Rica’s Daphne Melissa Herrera Monge scored in the 47th minute to make it 2-1 against Zambia.

Zambia’s Racheal Kundanaji scored in the 90+3 minute to seal a 3-1 win against Costa Rica.

Zambia beat Costa Rica 3-1. But in Group C, both Zambia and Costa Rica did not enter the last 16.
