Jack Sock announces retirement after US Open – as it happened

Sock said on Sunday that American Jack Sock announced his retirement from tennis after the US Open.

The 30-year-old Sock has won four ATP singles titles and 17 tour-level doubles trophies.

Sock holds the 2017 ATP Masters 1000 title in Paris, as well as the men's doubles titles at Wimbledon in 2014 and 2018, and the 2018 US Open.

Sock also won a gold medal in mixed doubles and a bronze medal in men's doubles at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Sock is teaming with John Isner at Flushing Meadows.

The American is also set to retire after the conclusion of the final Grand Slam of the year.
