Novak Djokovic won his fourth US Open men's singles title by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final at Flushing Meadows in New York on Monday.

Djokovic won the first set easily 6-3. In the next set, Medvedev tried to make a comeback.

Djokovic won it 7-6(5). Then in the third set, Djokovic took the first two sets and won 6–3.

Following Margaret Court's 24th Slam singles title win, Djokovic wore a T-shirt bearing the pair's photo in tribute to "close friend" Kobe Bryant.

The Serbian star is now two behind Rafael Nadal with 22 men's Slam singles titles, while Roger Federer is two behind with 20.
